She might have got praised for her past performances, especially her act in Anurag Kashyap's film DEV D. But, Mahie Gill seems in no mood to build up on that image.
That is perhaps the reason why the actress rejected offers that tried to portray her on similar lines. If she wanted, she could have become the dare-bare queen. But, Mahi seems to be more concerned about her likes and dislikes rather being career wise.
Self admittedly, Mahie is a girl with low ambition. And she has no qualms accepting this trait of hers. Says she, "I'm not very ambitious. This is the reason why I didn't catch hold of the opportunities that came my way after DEV D. I want to do cinema that I feel for. I don't feel any compulsion to sign films that does not interest me. And that is going to be my stand, today, tomorrow and forever."
At the moment Mahie is kicked about her upcoming film UTT PATAANG that releases this week. This will be the first time Mahie will play an urban girl unlike her past characters who were rooted in countryside. Let's hope her city portrayal is as alluring as her last rustic act.
