After playing friends (DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI) and foes (ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI) in reel life, Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi were all set to take each other heads on in real life, what with both actors pitching their next films opposite each other on the same day.
Informs a trade source, "One would have expected that Ajay and Emraan would have developed camaraderie with each other after enjoying success in their two outings so far. However no one knew that off screen, both actors would continue to be aggressive when it comes to their solo films. For their immediate next releases - remake of SINGHAM and the sequel MURDER 2 respectively - Ajay and Emraan were earlier all set to take each other heads on."
This did come as a piece of surprise because till the release of DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, there were reports circulating around how they had developed a great bonding with each other courtesy their professional association during last couple of years. However till last week, both were adamant at releasing their films on 22nd July, something that seemed like a rather knee jerk reaction.
However, as things stand today, the clash has been averted. While SINGHAM is sticking to 22nd July, MURDER 2 has been pushed by a week and would now be arriving on 29th July. Though this still means that SINGHAM won't quite a free run for two weeks in succession, a gap between the two films has led to a breathing space at the least.
