Pankaj Kapur, who is getting set with his directorial venture MAUSAM, starring Shahid Kapur has denied reports that his film is biased towards his son in any sense.
The actor turned filmmaker, who has been part of path breaking films in the past like RAAKH, ROJA, EK DOCTOR KI MAUT and MAQBOOL to name a few, has denied reports that MAUSAM is a film that belongs only to Shahid Kapur.
Setting this confusion to rest, Pankaj Kapoor says, "My film MAUSAM is perhaps one of the few films that shares equal importance between the lead pair. Both Shahid and Sonam play important roles and no one can claim that the film belongs to only one person. Many might have felt that as a father I would favour Shahid but the truth is that I have not been a biased father while making this film."
The filmmaker is also excited that MAUSAM has given him liberty to tap into Shahid's intense side. He adds, "I have also stated this in the past that Shahid as an actor has not been completely tapped by his filmmakers especially as far as his intense side is concerned. In MAUSAM, I have highlighted Shahid's little known side as an actor."
MAUSAM pairs Shahid and Sonam for the first time and will be released in July this year.
