For someone who had an eventful 2010 with diverse (and appreciated) roles in RAAJNEETI, HOUSEFULL and WE ARE FAMILY, one would have expected him to go on a signing spree. However, Arjun Rampal has taken a different route and is going a little slow in signing newer films.
"But then mere saath aisa hi hota hai; I believe in being slow and steady", says Arjun who got a new lease of life starting with OM SHANTI OM that was followed by ROCK ON and THE LAST LEAR, "I don't enjoy taking a roller coaster ride; I would rather be stable. Right now I am liking my space and zone."
This also means that other than the Prakash Jha film which he is doing with Chitrangada Singh, there isn't any other announcement that has been made off late.
"I am being quite honest and frank with film makers", Arjun explains his reasoning here, "I don't waste people's time by just getting into conversations that are mere feelers. I do read everyone's script and only when I approve of something at that level do I move ahead. In fact I am not even scared of working with either extreme - whether they are newcomers or highly experienced people. The script should work, that's it."
As per sources close to him, there are indeed quite a few scripts that the man has already given a go-ahead to. While one of them is a war flick, another is a love story. Not just that as he would also be soon starting a film for his own production house.
Well Arjun, in that case bring on an official announcement too.
