Omi Vaidya, who rose to popularity with his act in Raj Kumar Hirani's film 3 IDIOTS, is finding it hard to come out of the Idiot mould.
Now, whatever films Omi is bagging bears the trace of his 3 IDIOT act. In the upcoming film DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, in which he will be sharing screen space with Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi, Omi again carries the flavour of his 3 IDIOTS act.
And this is not it. In the film PLAYERS with Abbas-Mustan and in Reema Kagti's upcoming film with Aamir, Omi can't break this mould. It seems he has been stereotyped already.
But, Omi on his part is quite hopeful that his innings in bollywood is taking the right shape. According to him, "I'm a lot more comfortable than I was while portraying Chatur in 3 IDIOTS and Milind in DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI. I don't think the audience wants me to do something drastically different, as long as I go about it gradually."
Though, Omi might be getting films one after the other, but it's no fun till he breaks free from the Idiot flavour.
