Salman Khan's next release would be READY where he has Asin opposite him. Though the film was a huge success down South, the fact remains that those who have had a dekko at it vouch for the fact that it wasn't path breaking by any means and just stayed on to be a good 'masala' outing. Given the fact that Asin has been picking projects quite selectively, doesn't she think that READY (where she is replacing Genelia D'Souza from the original) may be a little bit of gamble?
'No', Asin is quick to react, 'And that's because there are a lot of changes that have been brought into the film to make it even more interesting. With Salman around, there is quite some tweaking done so that his fan base is impressed. Also, Aneesji (Bazmee) understands the pulse of the masses. I am sure he knows what he is doing and since he is also a writer, it makes it even easier for him to incorporate changes on the run.'
SALMAN KHAN and ASIN
In her short Bollywood stint so far, Asin has worked with relatively younger directors like A.R. Murugadoss (GHAJINI) and Vipul Shah (LONDON DREAMS) in the past. With Anees Bazmee being a veteran in the field, wasn't it tough for her to get into a conversation due to a wide age difference?
'But then I have worked with veteran film makers in South', smiles Asin who has been a part of the film industry for around a decade now, 'No, there were no issues around communication per se. He is amazing on sets. His films have so many characters in one single frame and it is amazing to see how he handles them all, whether they are senior or junior actors. He is so calm and cool. Really, Aneesji is a darling to work with.'
