She is one beauty that Bollywood needs to watch out for. After all, she has managed to do what very few newcomers can. She has impressed some of B-town's most hard-to-please personalities. We are talking about the stunning actor Richa Chadda.
The list of her admirers in the industry begins with the formidable taskmaster Dibakar Bannerjee, who directed her in her debut film, OYE LUCKY, LUCKY OYE, and Abhay Deol, her leading man in the film. In fact, Abhay has publicly declared Richa as one of the best actresses in Bollywood! Another big name in this list is none other than Anurag Kashyap, who has cast Richa as the female lead in his latest film set in the backdrop of Bihar's underworld. Few know that Anurag had shortlisted Richa for the role of Chanda in his DEV D, which she finally didn't get. But after her performance at the film's audition, Anurag obviously couldn't forget Richa.
"When he was looking for a female lead in this film, GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, he called and asked me if I would do a small role in it. I readily agreed, only to learn that it was the lead role," Richa gushes. Not only that, Richa's character is shown growing from a young girl to an old woman amidst the badlands of Bihar, which shows just how much faith Anurag has in her acting potential.
Well, the dusky siren's heady mix of beauty, intellect and talent surely seems to be mesmerizing tinsel town.
