After a hat trick of super successes in the form of NO ENTRY, WELCOME and SINGH IS KINNG, one expected Anees Bazmee to make it four in a row with NO PROBLEM. The film didn't do well at the box office though and disappointed quite a few fans of Anees Bazmee who expected NO PROBLEM to be yet another laugh riot. The film maker has moved on though and is now gearing up for the release of Akshay Kumar starrer THANK YOU which arrives in April this year.
"See, my films have to be larger than life and this is something that I have always done," says Bazmee who humbly accepted the under performance of NO PROBLEM within a weekend of its release, "Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. One can't be attached to such things. You move on and do things better next time around."
While doing so, he doesn't intend to let go of the core style of his film making which is centered on entertainment.
"Really, I am not interested in giving any updesh to my audience out there. For that there are many other people and our honorable neta log out there," he laughs, "My endeavour is that for those two or two and a half hours that audience is in auditorium, they get rid of all their worries. Main chahta hoon ki woh apni asli zindagi se door chale jaayen and get into a different cinematic world. A world which is far better looking, colourful and better than personal life."
Well, we would expect that as well from you with your THANK YOU provided it is entertaining as well!
