A small time film called COVER STORY has come out of nowhere. Starring one film old Sheena Nayar (who was last seen in a horror disaster by the name of MALLIKA) in the lead, the film which is all set to release in August has been instantly noticed due to it's similarities with HEROINE.

'Though not much is known about the plotline of HEROINE, it is expected to bring quite a few skeletons out of the cupboard. Madhur Bhandarkar is making a hard hitting drama that would highlight the chronicles of a young woman who is a Bollywood superstar,' informs a source, 'Now COVER STORY too has been designed on the similar lines.'

Directed by first timer Laurence Postma, COVER STORY is based on the story of a successful film actress (played by Sheena). As per the official synopsis of the film, the film is about a special assignment for a magazine (called 'Cover Story'), a one night account of an interview with the film star and the scoop that the correspondent gets for the publication.

'During his conversation, the veteran journalist (played by Jackie Shroff) discovers there is more to the leading actress he is interviewing than what meets the eye,' the source adds, 'As the interview progresses, he finds himself drawn into the actress' intriguing world.'

Madhur had first spoken about HEROINE a couple of years ago while COVER STORY has come out of nowhere. One doesn't know to what extent have the makers gone ahead with Sheena in tow but one thing is for sure, they are looking for something sensational and have taken the lead in releasing their film about the glamour world.

This is pretty much apparent from the fact that they have even copied the poster design of HEROINE and presented Sheena aka Mallika as the new Ash.
