For Kalki Koechlin, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA is turning out to be a contrasting experience when compared to her last release SHAITAN. While the Anurag Kashyap produced dramatic thriller was about how one's mind could wander in many directions if it was not controlled, the Zoya Akhtar directed feel good comic drama is about living life to the fullest. Expectedly, Kalki has good things to say about her director Zoya Akhtar as she steps into her most commercial film till date.
"Zoya is someone whom I really admire. She is not just a good director but also a very good writer," Kalki begins her appreciation, "I really enjoy the balance that she brings in when it comes to merging real and commercial cinema. My priority is to get the script and the director right and thankfully I found them both in this film."
Continuing in the same vein, Kalki says that her criteria for signing newer films would continue to remain the same despite all the attention that she is getting today after SHAITAN as well as ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA where she is said to be the surprise package of the film.
"I am not someone who will pick up and sign a film just for a career move," says Kalki with a straight face, "I have to be interested in the kind of work that I am doing and the director I am working with. I have to get good vibes from a film and understand the director's vision. This is what would eventually drive me to make my final decision around doing or rejecting a film."
