Deepika Padukone, who is playing the lead role in Prakash Jha's politically sensitive drama AARAKSHAN, is refraining from making comments on political policies and politicians in general. It seems Katrina's episode has inspired Deepika to refrain from making comments that can become controversial flash-points.
At a recent press briefing, Deepika feigned ignorance on the political front when asked to comment on reservations quotas in educational institutions. According to sources, "Deepika seems to have learnt from Katrina's mistake. The fact that her film deals with a sensitive political reality of caste based reservations has made her prone to political questioning during promotions. To avoid getting into difficult territory, Deepika confesses being unaware of the reservation system till she signed the film and hence doesn't think is qualified enough to make statements."
Unlike Katrina, it seems Deepika is sharp enough to notice the ever dangling controversies and refusing to get trapped.
