Minissha Lamba was quiet for almost a year but it seems like her films would have a lot of talking to do in coming months. Soon after BHEJA FRY 2 her HUM TUM AUR SHABANA would be releasing. Post that there is JOKER in the pipeline while things have been almost finalized for her to step into SATTE PE SATTA remake.
'I have always been very patient about the opportunities coming my way and now the coming year would see these films arriving back-to-back,' says the pretty girl who debuted with YAHAAN (2005) more than half a decade back, 'I am here to do performance oriented roles.'
She could well be right there. Though her last film WELL DONE ABBA didn't do well at the box office, Minissha did have good reviews coming her way.
'That's right, I did get the best reviews ever of my career in WELL DONE ABBA,' she smiles, 'I had to play a character which was pretty alien to me and quite a few out there were skeptical if I would be able to pull it off. And guess what, I always love it when people get doubtful around whether I can manage to hold on to a character or not. It just makes me get ready to give a fitting reply when a film of mine hits the screen as this is the platform where I can allow my work to speak for itself.'
Now Minissha has similar hopes for BHEJA FRY 2 as well which has her playing the leading lady opposite Vinay Pathak.
'The film's storyline is so much more cohesive this time around,' she smiles, '(Director) Sagar Ballary has written a fantastic script and has incorporated quite a few great situations. There are various interesting things happening at the same time in the film to make it much more exciting.'
Also starring Vinay Pathak, Amole Gupte, Kay Kay Menon, Suresh Menon and Aditi Govitrikar in principal roles, BHEJA FRY 2 is a Mukul Deora production and releases all over this Friday.
