One of Dharma Productions' runaway hit films of last year, I HATE LUV STORYS was lapped up by audiences in India and abroad, by young and old alike. A romantic-comedy starring two of Bollywood's hottest young stars, Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, the movie takes a pot-shot at everything from designer sets to dancing in the rain in chiffon saris. Providing a uniquely fun and saucy take of today's gen-next, I HATE LUV STORYS was successful at pulling in the crowds to the theaters.
I HATE LUV STORYS completes one year on the 2nd of July and for those of you who still can't get enough of adorable, filmy Simran or sarcastic, witty Jay and their romantic love story, take a break from your hectic schedules and relive the magic of their refreshing romance on their Facebook and Twitter pages.
Punit Malhotra, Dharma Productions' latest talented and enthusiastic young director has jokingly revealed that his debut movie I HATE LUV STORYS is according to him the 'greatest movie ever made'.
At 28, many may think that he's too young to handle the intricacies of filmmaking, but Punit is a veteran when it comes to working behind the camera.
Having assisted director-producer Karan Johar on blockbusters like KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM, KAL HO NAA HO, KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA, Amol Palekar on PAHELI and Tarun Mansukhani on DOSTANA as creative director, Punit's tongue-in-cheek answer to a question about how he considered his direction to be was that the director was truly talented and completely true to his craft.
He also humbly mentioned that Dharma Productions' is very proud of the film and of course, being one of Dharma's biggest hits last year, I HATE LUV STORYS is truly another feather in their cap.
