Everyone associated with DELHI BELLY has gone all out on a promotional over drive and ensured that audience realizes what the film is all about. While the film has already seen close to half a dozen songs being unleashed in quick succession (DK Bose, Penchar, Ja Chudail, Switty, I Hate You), DELHI BELLY is also reaching out to its target audience (belonging to cities) in a big way so that there is no shortcoming felt when it comes to creating excellent visibility for itself.
"We have done our bit, now audience is going to decide where it wants to take us from here," smiles Imran, "Personally for me though this has been a phenomenal year. DELHI BELLY has been an absolute riot and then there has been a film each with Kareena (tentatively titled SHORT TERM SHAADI) and Katrina (MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN). It's fun to be working on one film after another and stay busy. Not it's time to see multiple releases coming one after another," says Imran.
He isn't paying much heed to the insinuation which is surrounding Big B's decision to bring his film on the same day as DELHI BELLY, especially when Aamir Khan and Co. had locked 1st July as the release date months ago.
"No one can stake claim on a date that it is only his own. Yes, you can choose something that suits you but you can't and you shouldn't be stopping someone else to be arriving on the same day. It's their prerogative," he says with a straight face.
With Vir Das, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Shenaz Treasurywala, Poorna Jagannathan and Vijay Raaz in the cast, DELHI BELLY is an Aamir Khan Productions & UTV Motion Pictures co-production and releases all over this Friday.
