DUM MAARO DUM which releases on April 22, 2011 seems to be very inspired from our past heritage of films. And we're not just talking about the remixed the iconic song.
DUM MAARO DUM, made legendary by Zeenat Aman also has its poster inspired from the 70s. The poster of DUM MAARO DUM has Deepika showing off her hot body in it, and the film's name written in Hindi. The trend of writing the film's name in Devanagari script started back in the 70s. When we entered the 90s most of the films had their posters in English.
Now, DUM MAARO DUM is revisiting this trend and the poster is in Devanagari. After many years will we see a film's poster in Devanagari script.
Says director Rohan Sippy, "Hindi as a language has a huge connect with today's youth, it is widely used on the internet and even text messages. It is coming back in vogue. I don't think Deepika's tattoo would've as good in English, as it does in Hindi."
The film's item song, Dum Maaro Dum is heavily guarded and people can't wait to catch the gorgeous actress unleashing her oomph on screen.
