After ruling the small screen for long, Ekta Kapoor seems to have shifted her loyalties in favour of the big screen.
These days, the erstwhile soap-queen is more concerned about her film plots than the next saas-bahu marathon. And rightly so, after all this diva has scripted some of the envious success stories in Bollywood in recent times.
After tasting success with films like ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA and LOVE SEX AUR DHOKHA, Ekta seems set to conquer Bollywood too. Now, with her latest film RAGINI MMS, Ekta is taking this success to another level.
And the irony in her filmmaking and TV content cannot be overlooked. While her TV soaps strengthened the stereotype, her films on the other hand touch taboo subjects. So, when Ekta was recently quizzed about the difference in her subjects, the maverick producer was quick to reply, "We have always strived to give audiences something new. As far as my films are concerned, what I couldn't do on TV I want to do in films. Our films are mostly youth oriented and the subject matter is always contemporary."
Ekta's upcoming film RAGINI MMS will explore the contemporary subject of mobile scandals and is being looked up to with high expectations. The film will be directed by Pawan Kripalani and will star Raj Kumar Yadav and Kainaz Motiwala.
