After failing to get noticed in bollywood, Soha Ali Khan is putting high hopes on her upcoming British-Asian film LIFE GOES ON. The film stars veteran actors Om Puri, Girish Karnad and Sharmila Tagore and is directed by Sangeeta Dutta.
Soha, has accepted the fact that working for a film that differs in its ethos from regular bollywood films has given her new insights into various styles of filmmaking. To begin with, Soha feels that Indian films are 'louder' than their western counterparts which according to her are 'subtle' in comparison.
According to Soha, 'Working for LIFE GOES ON has been a great learning experience. The way the script is written to the characterisation, everything seems less dramatic than my previous experiences. I think the difference between what we do in India and cinema in the west is that we tend to be a little quote unquote 'loud'. I am, looking forward to the film as it brings together some of the power houses of the acting world like Om Puri, Girish Karnad and my mom Sharmila Tagore in one frame.'
On the bollywood front, Soha has a few films lined up but nothing big to boast about.
