The 9.0 magnitude earthquake and the tsunami it triggered, has completely devastated Japan. Now, the threat of harmful radiation from the damaged Fukushima reactors looms large its people. A disturbed Abhishek Bachchan, offered his prayers for the distraught people of Japan.
The actor said, 'Our hopes and prayers are with the people of Japan who have lived by this calamity. It was terrible when the tsunami hit India a few years back and we just about coped with it. They are having a tough time. There have been explosives in the nuclear reactor plants. If there is harmful amount of radiation, it is a cause of worry for everybody.'
Abhishek further said that it's high time we start taking care of our planet.
'The larger message here is that the Earth is talking to us and asking us to take care of it. We can see the power of Mother Nature and what it can do. We need to go green and save the environment,' urged the 35-year-old actor.
