AISHA may not have been a big success last year. However that hasn't deterred the Kapoor sisters to go ahead and plan another movie together. Even though things are still under wrap and a formal announcement is yet to be made, Sonam and Rhea are all set to embark on yet another home production.
"Yes, we are prepared to start a production", Sonam confirms.
Just like AISHA, one does expect yet another women-centric outing for the Kapoor sisters again. One wonders though whether their next film too would have feminism written all over it with a female director to boast of, as was the case in AISHA where debutant Rajshree Ojha called the shots?
"Aaah, now that is too early to say", smiles Sonam, "Everything is in the process right now and we will make an announcement when everything is finalised. It will be something off the beaten path though and new age in appeal."
Well, one waits to see what does dad Anil Kapoor have to say about his daughters being overtly different since for most part of his career he himself has taken an out and out commercial route. Nevertheless even from the acting perspective, his daughter Sonam seems to be going quite slow and ultra selective in her choice of films.
"I am deliberately not signing anything way too fast", says Sonam who hasn't kick-started any new film since the announcement of MAUSAM and PLAYERS, "I have never done that ever since my debut in SAAWARIYA (2007); I am willing to wait."
Here is hoping that your new film with Rhea lives up to the high standards that you are setting up for yourself Sonam.
