A superstar down South, Asin had fortunes working in her favour when she started off with a biggie in the form of GHAJINI opposite Aamir Khan. However Salman Khan starrer LONDON DREAMS refused to take off at all. Now that she is back with him in READY, doesn't she feel that this could be one big opportunity for her to make presence felt in a big way?
"Wait for the film to release and you would see for yourself whether I make my presence felt or not", giggles Asin, "What's the point in me beating drums right now? Let people get 'ready' for the fact, pun intended, that it is yet another Salman Khan entertainer. In any case READY is a story about two characters - Salman and I - who solve all problems and obstacles in their love story. Of course the girl is important and when the curtains would go down at the film's end, my contribution would be known to one and all."
More leading ladies would be doing everything possible to grab their share of limelight around the release timing of a biggie featuring them. However Asin, who has a decade of acting experience behind her, is being different. She realizes when to move ahead and when to take a step back when it comes to the promotion of films. This is the reason why even though she is making a comeback of sorts with READY which is actually a love story between her and Salman, she is happy to stay on a back foot and admit that the film is better off being projected as an out and out Salman Khan show.
"When a film stars Salman Khan, it is but natural that a script is written to accentuate his presence in the film. It is also logical to have the film revolve around him. The same has to reflect in the promos as well where his style and mannerisms are exposed to the audience. I am quite fine with the way my role as well as the film is being projected," says Asin.
Guess Asin is truly waiting for the film to hit the screens before she gets into a 'Dhinka Chika' in real life as well.
