The first look of Abbas-Mustan's latest project, PLAYERS, has managed to create quite a buzz amongst cinegoers. The master of thrillers, 'Men In White', Abbas-Mustan have had a cult following amongst lovers of the movies of this genre and more often than not have provided the audience with some classy thrillers.
As is most often the case with Abbas-Mustan movies, PLAYERS too is a multistarrer, and it features the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonam and lucky mascot Bipasha Basu. The reason why we call her the lucky mascot is evident to all who follow Bollywood and love Abbas-Mustan films.
The sultry siren made her debut with the director duo in the hit and very 'hatke' thriller, AJNABEE, where she not only held her own against the likes of Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor, but also won many fans and got the tag of a sex siren. Then came the super hit, RACE, one of the biggest grossers of 2008 and once again it was Bipasha who stole the limelight despite a host of seasoned stars like Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif.
The January 6 release, PLAYERS, sees Bipasha back with Abbas-Mustan and seeing her terrific track record with them we are sure that Bips would prove to be a lucky mascot for them, as before!
