Ram Gopal Varma, who is currently working on Amitabh Bachchan-Sanjay Dutt starrer DEPARTMENT, is planning for a sequel to his 2004 thriller AB TAK CHAPPAN.

The sequel will be directed by Ramu's good friend and old associate director, Sahil Saple. Apparently, RGV had a spat with director Shimit Amin during the making of prequel - AB TAK CHAPPAN. Probably, this must be the reason why RGV has roped in Sahil to direct the sequel.

However, the main lead i.e. Nana Patekar will continue with his role of Inspector Sadhu Agashe in the sequel as well.

The movie is set to go on floors by 2012.
