Vivek Agnihotri is all set to kickstart the shoot of his next film that has been interestingly titled HATE STORY. What makes the film further interesting is the fact that the director promises to explore the erotic thriller genre in the way that no other Bollywood flick has done before.
This is exactly the viewpoint that Vivek shared with his lead actress Paoli Dam as well who, to his relief, understood where he was coming from. An experienced Bengali actress who would be making her Hindi debut with this Vikram Bhatt production, Paoli immediately agreed to the bold scenes that are an integral part of HATE STORY and was happy to see an unusual Bollywood launch.
Moreover she has anyways been in news for quite some time ever since her Bengali film CHATRAK (Mushrooms) was premiered at Cannes and also shown at the Toronto Film Festival. Reason being that she is supposed to have enacted a full frontal nudity scene in the film, hence resulting in quite a few controversies.
"Quite a few actresses from Bollywood go and walk the red carpet at Cannes. Still, how many can really claim that they did so since a film of theirs was screened there," questions Vivek, "However Paoli can do that since her own film was screened there and she as well as the film saw fetched quite some acclaim. Nevertheless with HATE STORY I am expecting that and a lot more since the role of the leading lady is indeed challenging for anyone to play, leave aside someone like Paoli who would be making her debut in Hindi cinema."
At her end, Paoli is already preparing for her part, what with the film going on floors in November beginning. "Yes, we go on floors around 10th November. It is going to be an extended schedule near New Delhi and we are looking at wrapping up the film in two months flat," says Vivek in a confident tone.
