Makers of Akshay Kumar's JOKER are no in rush to announce their release date. A decision on this is currently on hold for some more time before the 3D fantasy flick is out there for the audience.
"Shirish (Kunder), who is in charge of direction as well as the film's production, was earlier working backwards to ready his film. However he has realised after shooting a major portion of the film spread across three schedules that he would rather allow the film to follow its own pace instead of completing something in a jiffy just because he has a set deadline," informs a source.
This is not to take away from the fact that when the film was originally conceptualised, all dependencies as well as challenges were well taken care of in setting up schedules for the actually shoot, post production and promotion. However now that the film has started shaping up and Shirish has been seeing some fabulous 3D results, he knows that in order to maintain a certain quality, he would have to devote good time month after month.
"Shooting of JOKER is being done in quick time but then it requires good time during post production to take a final shape," continues the source, "This is a much difficult, complex and bigger film to execute. In fact the film's VFX would consume more number of days than the actual shoot since it is an altogether new world that Shirish is looking at bringing on screen."
Since the film has a fantasy setting to it with an alien element incorporated as well, Shirish is confident that he can play around with the technology and refine it to get the best results. "As for the best 3D effects to be incorporated then that in any case is something that continues to evolve every 2-3 months," says Shirish, "Technology is growing at a very fast rate. For JOKER too we would be having nothing but the best of the VFX which would be truly belonging to never seen before category."
Well Shirish, if the promise made is indeed kept, we are ready to wait.
