As a genre, espionage thrillers haven't been explored to the hilt in Bollywood. After all the very setting demands a lavish treatment which most likely includes shooting across different parts of the world and roping in actors belonging to different nationalities. However AAZAAN has picked up the mantle of doing that and resultantly, this lavish espionage thriller has seen an elaborate shooting schedule all over the globe with locations spread across France, Morocco, China, Germany, Poland, South Africa and Thailand to name a few.

Theatrical Trailer - AZAAN

Comments an industry veteran, "AZAAN was always a huge film in the making and the makers wanted to make a sudden attack by revealing its grandeur and true strength a few weeks before the release. Though a select set of audience did get an opportunity to watch portions from the film over last few months, to a large segment of cinegoers, AZAAN has pretty much turned out to be a surprise package."

The makers claim that AZAAN had to go through an elaborate shooting schedule over last so many months and in different continents because the script demanded so.

"We could have added a few more countries to the plot or removed a few out of our script but that wouldn't have justified the setting of the film which demanded a global coverage," says a source connected to the film, "An espionage thriller requires a lavish treatment and you can't cut corners here; you either spend on it or stay away from making it. Also, Indian audience has been so much exposed to films from the West belonging to this genre that if you even think of attempting a film like this, you better get it right from all ends."

Directed by Prashant Chadha, the film marks the debut of entrepreneur turned actor Sachiin Joshi who would be seen in the title role. Though not much has been revealed about this film, what is known is that Sachiin plays a 'Raw' officer and takes it upon himself to save the entire country by fighting against the evils of biological warfare. Starring Candice Boucher as the leading lady with Ravi Kissen, Dalip Tahil, Arya Babbar, Aly Khan, Sachin Khedekar, Vijayendra Ghatge, Samy Gharbi, Sarita Chowdhury and Sajid Hassan in other important roles, AZAAN with music by Salim-Sulaiman releases all over on 14th October.
