Katrina Kaif has delivered one of the biggest hits of the year in the form of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA a few weeks back. And now she is pretty much sighting another potential hit in MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN which releases coming Friday. No wonder, this is akin to a situation in a superstar's career when one either starts getting way too secure about her positioning in the industry or begins to worry about maintaining that position for years to come. One can well expect Katrina to be giving it all some thought at the least, what with her eyes on one such extreme as well after a continued successful streak.
Says Katrina after a pause, "I don't think either of the extremes. No, I don't actually spend too much time sitting and indulging in myself or the work I do or the success that I may have seen. Similarly I don't get insecure thinking about what if a film of mine won't work or if my next won't be as good as the one that I am doing. I don't even think it is possible for anyone to think on these lines. There is no sense of logic in doing that."
One agrees with what Katrina has to say here. Still, even though she may not pre-empt it but when a film comes her way, one can be sure that there is some amount of intelligence that goes into picking it up. After all it can't always be the luck factor working for her all the time.
"Of course there is a lot of intelligence that goes in it," smiles Katrina who has seldom faced a flop in her career, "This way I have been conscious about the choices that I have made. When I read a script, I have to be really impressed with not just the written word but also be sure that I would have a blast bringing it on screen. Once that's done, ultimately it is about approaching every film with sincerity and honesty. All is okay after that."
Well, we hope this 'more than just okay' run continues with MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN as well!
