Even as the promos of DAMADAMM are playing across the country on a record number of screens, courtesy BODYGUARD seeing the biggest release of all times, Himesh has already unleashed the song 'Umrao Jaan'. If Akon is the USP of 'Chammak Challo', Himesh in the triple role of composer, singer and actor leads the show for Umrao Jaan'.

"It couldn't have been better timed," says an industry insider, "While Shahrukh and his team have been pitching 'Chammak Challo' as the next big song, Himesh too has 'Umrao Jaan' up his sleeves. It would be a clash of two potential chartbuster numbers," observes a senior member from the music fraternity.
For audience though there seem to be some entertaining times ahead with two expected chartbuster songs in the offering. With 'Chammak Challo' and 'Umrao Jaan' being the masala numbers that would be playing on music channels for next few weeks, audience can well be expected to be enthralled en route to Diwali.
"While 'Chammak Challo' has an international appeal to it with Kareena Kapoor seen in a quintessential Indian avatar with a jhatak-matak act to match, 'Umrao Jaan' has Himesh's wooing Sonal Sehgal (seen in a 'mujra' getup) with Purbi Joshi adding on to fun element,' adds a source who has seen the final cut of both the songs.
Even as Himesh waits for reactions to pour in for 'Umrao Jaan', he is ecstatic to see his music for BODYGUARD turn out to be successful and also aid in the historic opening that the Salman Khan starrer has taken.
"Of course this has been a good innings so far. I did BODYGUARD because I knew that the songs there had to be special. It is great to see the way these songs have been received by class as well as mass audience. You would see a similar blend in DAMADAMM as well. It has the mixture of both the worlds and I am sure they would contribute to making this a cracker of a Diwali,' says Himesh.
Well Himesh, we look forward to that as well and hope this Diwali turns out to be indeed bright, happy and cheerful for all involved.
