Shahid gets 1006 letters from NDA students!

Shahid Kapoor's dedication towards MAUSAM is paying off quite amazingly well!

Apparently, the actor had devoted full two years of his life while keeping all his other projects on hold only to achieve the perfect look for his character in MAUSAM and to finish shoot for this film across two years - is getting a lot of praises from young students of National Defense Academy (NDA).

Shahid portrays a very different look for his character in the air force uniform and the classic mustache with aviator glasses.

Apparently, the young students of the National Defense Academy which trains the students for Army, Navy and Air Force are going crazy seeing Shahid in uniform.

These youngsters have given double thumbs up for Shahid's look as an Air Force pilot in MAUSAM.

The students are writing letters to him saying how much they appreciate him for bringing so much pride to them by carrying the uniform with so much poise and style.

Close source also reveal that few letters go beyond just appreciation, they get extremely thankful to Shahid for making their uniform a style statement as the young boys have started getting a lot of attention from girls.

The MAUSAM team has received a whooping 1006 letters addressed to Shahid so far and still counting.

The official spokesperson confirms, "Yes, it is an overwhelming response that we have received. We are honoured and humbled at the same time to know that the youngsters are appreciating the character and Shahid's look in the film. His uniform, his mustache his aviator glares everything.

The youngsters have expressed how happy they all are to see Shahid's character in MAUSAM which is that of an air force pilot and it brings them such great pride to see him carry it off with style and poise."

The script is the inspiration, as it demanded Shahid's character to be a part of the Air Force portraying the role of a pilot. He has essayed the character very well and done full justice to his role and his look.

MAUSAM releases in theaters on 16th September, 2011
