For Kangna, RASCALS may well be the thing of the past. The girl has fairly and squarely moved on, so much so that now she is lending an unconditional support to another film of hers which has suddenly emerged for release - MILE NA MILE HUM. What's interesting is the fact that while RASCALS is a biggie with names like Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and David Dhawan involved, Kangna is the USP of MILEY NAA MILEY HUM which marks the launch of newcomer Chirag Paswan
"When this film was announced early last year, it had seemed like a favour from Kangna to the makers. After she had then signed over half a dozen biggies with superstars at that time, a film with a newcomer was the last thing on her mind," says a source, "Still, the film came to her as a lucrative package and she couldn't refuse then."
The film took some time to be readied but is now arriving at just the right time when Kangna could well do with some good talks about her work instead of on-going tussle with Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn.
"Exactly," the source continues, "Guess whatever happens, it happens for good. Kangna is at that stage of her career where she needs to prove that she can survive in the industry without any major backing. In fact this is one film which has Kangna in a central role with Chirag. The focus would be on her and she has to take the lead in driving film's promotion forward."
Makers too are conscious of this fact and have taken first foot forward by keeping Kangna as the centre of attraction in the first look of the film. This means that despite Sagarika Ghatge (of CHAK DE INDIA fame) and Neeru Singh as the other leading ladies opposite Chirag, it is Kangna who is hogging all the attention.
Well, that's good for the girl-woman. After all, she is getting some attention where it is due.
