Guess what John Abraham does when he suspects an all around negativity to engulf him? He just goes ahead and disconnects himself entirely from the very medium. This means that entry of magazines, newspapers and other visual sources are pretty much banned from John's household when the going goes tough.
Says a close friend of John, "When there is so much being written and spoken about which is mostly speculative and at many times even intimidating and annoying, it is best in everyone's interest for John to either acknowledge or later comment on such non-issues. He would rather concentrate on his work assignments."
This could well make sense considering the fact that today John has close to half a dozen assignments all set to occupy him till end of next year at the least. However there was a time till last few weeks when the going wasn't as good.
"He wasn't going through the best of the times professionally with JHOOTHA HI SAHI as well as AASHAYEIN bombing. His break up with Bipasha too came at just the wrong time. The best resort for John was to look the other way instead of pondering over what went wrong," the friend adds.
The strategy seems to be working, what with John looking at his life ahead with an enhanced vigor.
He says, "Frankly, none of the lows that you mention took a toll on me. I am a guy who doesn't watch TV and doesn't subscribe to newspapers or film magazines. What's the point? I choose to have a complete disconnect with the outside world and learn from my own personal experiences. I don't mean any disrespect towards those who talk or write about me but then I am happy in the space I have created for myself. There is a sense of security that keeps me content."
