Playing the lovable but not world wisely Michael Pinto, Prateik's kind hearted and caring character in UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's MY FRIEND PINTO takes a leaf out of veteran legend Raj Kapoor's persona.

Playing a musician in this slice-of-life film, directed by debutante Raaghav Dar, Prateik's character is reminiscent of the legendary Raj Kapoor, and is almost a contemporary follow-up to the legend's characters in films like JAAGTE RAHO (1956) and AWAARA (1951).

Says director Raaghav Dar, 'In the film, Prateik has acted the way Raj Kapoor's characters might have done in a modern setting. Plus, I find his acting skills -like the way he uses his eyes -to be very similar to that of Raj Kapoor's,' adds Raaghav.

Adds Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Prateik is a talent to watch out for. He has done a spectacular job in MY FRIEND PINTO and lights up the screen with his sheer presence. Raaghav too has managed to capture his talent brilliantly in the film.'

MY FRIEND PINTO starring Prateik and Kalki Koechlin comes to a theatre near you October 14th, 2011.
