What has been a well guarded secret for over two years would finally come out in open. Arjun Rampal, who plays the title role of RA.ONE, would be unmasked around Dussehra. This is the time when the Shahrukh Khan production would be catching full steam en route to its Diwali release.
"This would be pretty much akin to the mythological tale of Ram and Raavan where Dussehra and Diwali held immense significance," says a source attached to the film, "While Shahrukh Khan would be stepping out in the form of Ram as 'G.One', Arjun would be his nemesis Raavan as 'Ra.One'. It was just fair to hold on to Arjun's look all this while as the idea was to stun audience with the sudden impact that it is supposed to make after it's unveiling."
Those who have had a dekko at Arjun as 'Ra.One' claim that the actor has never looked so intimidating and powerful before. Though he played a villain in OM SHANTI OM and was seen in diverse age groups, his appearance in RA.ONE is said to be worth the wait.
The source adds, "Shahrukh has said publicly that there was quite some thought given to Arjun's persona to make it a never seen before experience. Also, Arjun has pumped up his body in a massive way to come across as someone who can indeed control the world. Moreover, another surprise awaited is around the costume that he wears in the film."
Well, we hope the surprise indeed lives up to the hype. When contacted, Arjun Rampal and director Anubhav Sinha were unavailable for comment.
