We have heard of slapstick, loud, situational, subtle and black comedy but while talking to writer-actor Manu Rishi we were introduced to a totally new nomenclature for a comic/comedy film.

To make things clear we wanted to know from the highly talented and multi-faceted, Manu Rishi, if his upcoming flick, the Rakesh Mehta directed, LIFE KI TOH LAG GAYI (where he essays the role of an 'over the top' 'jat' cop), was a black comedy. But being a renowned writer (CHANCE PE DANCE), Manu coined a new terminology for the highly anticipated LKTLG.

He told us, "I won't say that LIFE KI TOH LAG GAYI is a black comedy. Actually it's a dark brown comedy! The film is about how common people get into certain (precarious) situations. At times, 'unki lag jaati hai' (meaning they lose out to the situation), and at times they fight out of it."
