She may be keeping mum on her real life equation with Sajid Khan. However when it comes to her professional relationship with the director, Jacqueline Fernandez is more than happy to talk at length. That is expected as well, now that he has given her yet another commercial success in the form of HOUSEFULL 2. With two successes in quick succession (last being MURDER 2) and a hat trick in the offering with another sequel (RACE 2) in the pipeline, Jackie (as she is fondly called), is expectedly on cloud nine.
"However all credit to both Sajids who were always confident that HOUSEFULL 2 would hit the bull's eye," says Jackie who is keeping herself abreast of all the reports flowing in, "In any case all us actors knew that we were in safe hand. After all, Sajid (Khan) is a fantastic director and when he says he knows and understands commercial cinema, he means it. Same holds good for Sajid Nadiadwala too who has always believed in making films for the masses. Now that audience is also enjoying the film so much, it is indeed heart-warming. MURDER 2 required such a serious intense performance but HOUSEFULL 2 was like fresh air." CHECK OUT: Jacqueline Fernandez -The sequel queen of Bollywood!
In fact even though Jackie has done a couple of light hearted in the past (ALADIN, JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI), she first tasted success with an intense drama in the form of MURDER 2. However with HOUSEFULL 2 raking in big moolah, Jackie is happy to finding success in the genre that she loves most.
"Yes, I love comedy and since Sajid is a fantastic director, I was all the more confident that he would get the best out of me," she smiles, "I can be really goofy if I want and I think comedy is something that comes naturally to me. I just enjoyed the whole process of being in this film. When you are making a comedy film, directors love those actors who can just let themselves go without worrying whether they are making fools of themselves. Also, what helped the cause is the fact that Sajid pushed us all like never before."
