The 65th Festival de Cannes and its market section known as Marche Du Film will witness a big Bollywood splash of Yash Raj Banner's upcoming film titles. It will be the first of its kind occasion, a truly unprecedented event, when three Indian films with Bollywood's top stars in the lead will vie for the attention of international distributors, exhibitors, sales agents, and buyers in the world's biggest film market.
Salman Khan starrer EK THA TIGER (August 2012 release), Shah Rukh-Katrina starrer untitled Yash Chopra directed film (November 2012 release), and Aamir Khan starrer DHOOM 3 (2013 release) will be presented at the Cannes Film Market with the other YRF titles like ISHAQZAADE and the rest of the library of Bollywood's numero-uno production and distribution banner with worldwide offices.
If that is not enough, YRF will also put its first English language Hollywood film THE LONGEST WEEK by Peter Glanz, starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, on its sales platter in Marche Du Film.
This impressive global marketing charge will be led by Avtar Panesar, YRF's VP, International Operations, who will be present in Cannes through 16th-21st May. He will also be visiting Beijing next week to participate in the Beijing International Film Festival to deliver a speech on co-operations and collaborations at the Summit Forum of World Renowned companies. YRF is the only studio from India to be invited at this forum.
