The superb promos of Rakesh Mehta's LIFE KI TOH LAG GAYI have resulted in a good hype and anticipation for the film. The beauty of the teasers/promos (both on the broadcast as well the web media) is that each of the interesting character, right from Ranvir Shorey, Pradhuman Singh, Kay Kay Menon, Neha Bhasin and of course Manu Rishi, has been given equal footage.
When we got in touch with Manu Rishi aka ACP Chautala and asked him about his efforts and preparations for the role of the Haryanvi cop, he had some interesting revelations.
The renowned writer and selective (by choice) actor told us, "I went to Delhi and met my friend's brother, who is actually a cop from Haryana. I observed his mannerisms and dialect and tried to incorporate them in my character."
When we prodded him further to tell us some secrets regarding ACP Chautala, the 'Haryana Ka Sher', he revealed, 'Basically it's just the rough exterior, from inside he is a simple Haryanvi. He gets up at 6, does yoga, pooja, touches his mother's feet, presses her legs. In fact, he is quite honest. Once he took a bribe of Rs. 500 but he felt very guilty, and his conscience pricked him so much that he donated the money to charity,' concludes Manu laughingly.
Well, we are sure that Manu's interpretation of ACP Chautala will be one of the many highlights of LIFE KI TOH LAG GAYI, and will bring the house down when the film releases this Friday.
