Ever since GO GOA GONE was announced, it was being widely believed that Saif Ali Khan is the lead protagonist in the film with Kunal Khemu and Vir Das being add-ons. However, the fact is entirely opposite, what with Kunal and Vir being the main protagonists and Saif being seen for a limited duration on screen
"Saif doesn't do too many cameos. In fact he is extra choosy about such assignments and is known for being quite conscious before giving a nod of approval for such affairs," informs a source, "He has made an exception for after GO GOA GONE since it is his home production, a zombie comedy."
This has come as a surprise though because all this while it was perceived that Saif was leading the show. However with Saif front facing the film mainly as a star face with Kunal and Vir as the driving force, it has turned out to be a twist in the tale.
"Unlike LOVE AAJ KAL, AGENT VINOD and COCKTAIL, each of Saif's productions that have been made at a high budget, GO GOA GONE is a film that has been made at a controlled budget. This works as well for the director duo of Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru as they have gained good experience in pitching their films at this scale, case in point being FLAVOURS, 99 and SHOR IN THE CITY. In any case it's the content that matters and with Kunal (BLOOD MONEY) as well as Vir (DELHI BELLY) tasting success very recently, there are no worries around the film making good buzz for itself," informs a source close to the makers.
Meanwhile Saif is busier than ever as a central protagonist with COCKTAIL close to getting released, RACE 2 shooting being on and four-five other biggies in the pipeline over next one year.
