Last Friday saw the release of Alt Entertainment's KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM and the Manish Manikpuri directed AALAAP. As expected it was the Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor starrer, KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM, which embarked a good start (especially at the multiplexes), and saw a noticeable growth during the weekend, netting 22-23 crores from India. The film is all set to be another triumph for Balaji Telefilms Ltd., especially in view of the very reasonable selling price (21 crores) paid by the all India distributor STV Network Pvt. Ltd. KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM has not made much of a mark in the overseas grossing £27,000 from UK and $84,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (27-29 July).

The other release of the week, Shri Shankracharya Arts Pvt. Ltd.'s AALAAP saw a poor opening and has failed at the box-office.
