Pooja Bhatt: I don't know why I was considered sex symbol

Think Pooja Bhatt and you remember the perky girl in DIL HAI KI MAANTA NAHI, the damsel in distress from SADAK or the mother from ZAKHM. None of these films featured her as a sex kitten though.
However the very fact that she once posed in nude with just a paint covering her body was good enough to term her as bold. 20 years later, she is redefining bold with Sunny Leone in JISM 2 though she continues to be amazed with the tag that she had fetched back then.
"I don't know how I became a sex symbol and was considered bold," she laughs, "Yes, I was cute and all but then I didn't flaunt my body as someone bold would. Today when Sunny is being talked about as a bold woman, it has an altogether different meaning since she comes from an adult film background. However, one thing that I know for sure is that the film will work on its own merit and not on anything else. Agar chalni hai toh apne dam par hi chalegi."
On her end though she has ensured that there is enough 'dum' around the release timing, reason being that she has 12 straight days to make moolah till EK THA TIGER arrives with only GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 2 releasing in the interim.
"Well, a good date always helps, I won't deny that. Moreover, it's not easy to get a solo date in this time of the year,' she smiles, 'Thankfully we have been able to meet the release deadline and even hosted paid previews."
She is confident about the film's prospects. "I am sure that our audience is ready for JISM 2', she says, 'When we look at population around us, it is clear that someone somewhere out there is indeed having sex, right?"
