GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 2 sees a mid-week release tomorrow. Meanwhile the makers have already hosted several screenings of the film prior to the release. In fact so enthused is Richa about her film that she is even willing to compare it with none less than Amitabh Bachchan's classic DEEWAR.
"The film is evergreen. People remember till date that the film is a revenge drama with a mother and her sons being the central protagonists. Now that was the universal theme that people related to and understood well. The same holds good for GANGS OF WASSEYPUR as well. It has a universal setting with all the right ingredients in it to make it a commercial success", she continues.
Today when she is finding herself in the limelight and a lot is being said and written about her, Richa isn't forgetting the fact that it was Anurag Kashyap who believed she had in it her to play such a complex part.
"I have been an Anurag Kashyap fan for a very long time and had always wanted to work with him. In fact I had been following up with him ever since his TV shows when he hadn't even started directing films. GANGS OF WASSEYPUR was a dream come true because to work with a man like him is a fantastic experience for any actor. I was like this blue eyed girl who had grown up watching films written by him, like SATYA and SHOOL. Now to have worked with him in GANGS OF WASSEYPUR is superb, especially when he appreciates your work and calls you a great actor. You are bound to feel on the top of the world", she smiles.
