The well-known Bollywood star and politician Govinda must be wondering why filmmakers choose him to do 'monkey characters'. He will yet again be playing a militant monkey in Nikhil Advani's DELHI SAFARI ready to be released on 19th October 2012. He had earlier played Hanuman in RAAVAN. This time he voices and enacts the character of Bajrangi, a super confident dancing prancing gun-toting militant monkey out to save Borivali National Park from the Builder Mafia. Bajrangi is not just any animation character. He knows all Govinda moves and even performs an item number in the film.
Govinda and the other actors including Akshaye Khanna, Urmila Matondkar, Sunil Shetty, Boman Irani, and Swini Khara (CHEENI KUM) actively participated in the script-writing, dubbing, and animation process of the film to impart personal touches to their characters. The film was made following the practices of well-known animation studios of the world like Pixar and Disney. According to Nikhil Advani, the film's director, the best of the talent has been roped in and apart from the film's voice-cast of top-line Bollywood stars, its music has been done by the leading team of Bollywood music directors like Shankar, Ehsan, and Loy.
