She looked svelte, and smart in well-cut beige pair of trousers, and a white top, quite different from her sari-clad character in her much awaited comeback film. Sridevi chose to celebrate her birthday (13 August) with the launch of the first look and two and a half minute theatrical trailer of ENGLISH VINGLISH in the presence of her husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Janhavi and Khushi, film's producer R. Balki, and director Gauri Shinde. She gracefully and candidly answered the questions of the media making it clear that she was open to work in films if she got good scripts, roles, and directors like Gauri Shinde. She also added that the new crop of actors are really good and talented and she was willing to work with them. She said that she had never been away from films since her husband was a film producer and she was eagerly looking forward to the release of ENGLISH VINGLISH and the audience's response to her work.
ENGLISH VINGLISH is produced by Hope Productions and will be distributed by Eros. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions immediately after its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in its prestigious gala section. Amitabh Bachchan will be doing a cameo in the Hindi version since he is Balki's lucky mascot.
