As was widely expected, Salman Khan has toppled various records with the very first day of EK THA TIGER release. With collections of over 30 crores, the film now has put aside records that were created by Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan not too long ago.

''Shahrukh had the record of highest collections for any day with RA.ONE while Hrithik had the biggest opening day ever with AGNEEPATH. Both of them have been surpassed by many crores with EK THA TIGER opening so phenomenally well,'' informs an industry insider.

While the numbers were still being compiled at the time of going to press, early indications are that EK THA TIGER would not just reach the fastest century mark but also create many more records in the way.

''This would now be Salman's fourth 100 crore film in a row and also mark an entry for Katrina Kaif in the club,' the insider adds, 'Since Eid is next week, there would an extended run over the weekdays as well than just be a weekend run.''

While it is certain that the film would cross Salman's own record of highest collections ever with BODYGUARD (which did around 148 crores), it has to be seen if Aamir's all-time record of 202 crores (3 IDIOTS) would be broken or not.
