PROJECT 11 - India's first global collaborative short film doing big rounds of film festivals!

PROJECT 11, India's first short collaborative film that was shot in 11 cities of the World, with combined crew strength of over a 100 people belonging to 13 different ethnicities, created a record of sorts. True to its numbers theme, the 11 min 11 sec long film had its day & date premiere at 11:11 AM on 11.11.11 on www.glamsham.com. And now the unusual concept film has caught the eye of film festivals!
In its long journey of film festivals, it won the Best Sound Award at Imphal International Short Film Festival 2012 and recently had a World premiere at Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival 2012, which is world's biggest genre film festival. It was the only Indian film in competition at PiFan this year. The Premiere screening of PROJECT 11, held at Lotte Cinema in Bucheon city, was sold out. The audience comprised of mainly youngsters and college students. The response was overwhelming.
And now, PROJECT 11 has been selected for the Panorama section of Budapest Shorts Film Festival (Busho 2012), Hungary.

Speaking on the occasion the Indian Director Vikas Chandra said: PROJECT 11 is a film that speaks of our world. The world we live in today. A film like this wouldnt have been possible four years ago. If THE SOCIAL NETWORK was about how a networking site was born, this film is a proof of what you can achieve with networking sites. Ill name four such important sites, thanks to which Im standing in front of you today.

On 25th June 2011, we had nothing but a script. It took us exactly 149 days to achieve something extraordinary. On 11.11.11, we had a film that was shot in 11 cities, 10 countries, and 27 locations over 22 days with more than 20 actors and over a 100 crew members.
