Rani on AIYYAA: Sometimes directors take their own decision

Rani Mukerji has come up with another good performance in AIYYAA, something that is always expected from the actress who has been around for a good 17 years now. Same held true in AIYYAA as well where no one complained with what she had to offer in the film even though the film was a massive disappointment.
While the blame fell pretty much on writer-director Sachin Kundakar's handling of the subject (which left a lot to be desired especially in the later parts of the film), one always wondered that didn't Rani, who is a seasoned actress, actually sensed things that were going wrong? Didn't she feel like taking stock of affairs and help bring things back to normalcy?
''I will tell you something. As an actor, during shooting whatever contribution is required to be made, I would make. After all, improvements are always for the betterment of the film. However after shooting, other technicians come. There is a director and then also an editor at the edit table. It is their territory and you should not be invading that. Sometimes such situations arise where directors take their own decisions as they believe that what they are doing is right. Since they are the captain of the ship and have certain vision, you want to go by what they are seeing,'' Rani explains.
Well, even though you are a little guarded, we do get what you are trying to say here Rani.
