While Wasiq Khan received the award for the Best Art Direction in GOW at the APFF, amongst other nominations for Best Picture, Best Direction (Anurag Kashyap) and Best Supporting Actress (Huma Qureshi).

I feel privileged to have won the Jury grand prize. Wasiq, who won best art direction at APFF has done an outstanding job.''
''I am very excited and thrilled having won this prestigious award. We all worked very hard for the film and this award is for the entire team of GOW and not me alone,'' said Wasiq Khan.
Present to receive the award in Macau was the films' producer, Guneet Monga. An elated Monga said, ''We struggled to make this film and now it feels wonderful to receive such a prestigious acknowledgement. The entire Viacom18 team and Elle Driver team, Anurag and I are overjoyed. Everyone put in great amounts of effort. The auditorium was packed with people cheering for the film and us, it felt wonderful.''
The film has been making waves globally, with a one of its kind release in France; a first for a major Indian film. In addition to winning accolades world over, the film has also been selected to be screened at the prestigious 2013 Sundance Film Festival to be held in mid-January.
GOW has had a momentous journey this year starting from its official selection and world premiere at Cannes' Director's Fortnight followed by Toronto (TIFF) in addition to numerous other festivals including Sydney and London.
