Though it may appear to some that chips are down for Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Gupta continues to show good trust and faith in her. The filmmaker, impressed with her work in his SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, maintains that she has been able to deliver goods and that too when after stepping into the big boots of none other than Vidya Balan.
'Yes, my first choice for the film was always Vidya Balan and then the next was going to be Kangana Ranaut. See, Vidya is a powerhouse performance and the next person to go to when hunting for someone in that category is Kangana. She has been bold with her choice of roles and characters and I knew I could count on her if things didn't work out with Vidya. Now that I have worked with Kangana, I know how capable she has turned out to be,'' says Gupta.

In the process he didn't quite earn a friend in another top actress though who was livid when to-and-fro happened around her so-called inclusion in the film, stories about her backing out and then subsequently getting replaced by Kangana Ranaut. So where and when did she actually fit in?
'Okay, so let me bring things on record all over again. I don't know how any other name started floating around. No one else was ever considered other than Vidya and Kangana; now that's the fact and nothing else,'' declares Gupta.
Guess that should indeed bring things in the right perspective and also spell good news for Kangana for whom SHOOTOUT AT WADALA would be a major film releasing on 1st May.
