On a day when the whole country was awaiting a response from Shahrukh Khan on his 'slapping controversy', Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan brushed aside the entire matter in his inimitable style.
While speaking at a promotional event in Kolkata on Wednesday, King Khan refrained from either repudiating or affirming on the allegations of his misbehavior and consequent physical misconduct to close friend Farah Khan's husband, Shirish Kunder.
He said, ''I have never made a comment on my personal life and I am not going to do so now. I may be the most publicly available person but I am not privately available. I did not talk about the altercation and I will not talk about the make-up remarked.'' CHECK OUT: Shahrukh and Shirish are friends now
On January 31st, SRK, known for his gentle personality, had reportedly engaged in a brawl with filmmaker Shirish Kunder at a party hosted by Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of AGNEEPATH.
While reports about the patch up between Shahrukh and Kunder made the rounds, SRK refused to deign to the proposal of providing an official response to the entire hullabaloo, citing his principle of personal privacy as the reason.
''Some of the things which are being said have happened and some of them did not but Farah is a close friend of mine and my kids call her aunty. So this is a very personal matter for me and I would like to keep my comments between people close to me,'' affirmed Shahrukh.
SRK stated that the truth ''often presented'' is different from what happens in real time and so he feels reticent while explaining the facts to his children. ''It is embarrassing to me as a father to explain my kids every time that half of the things said about their dad is not completely true,'' he said.
Apart from the 'slapping controversy' Shah Rukh also talked about his upcoming film. The superstar revealed that his upcoming film with Katrina Kaif is all set to go on floor as the team will start shooting post 28th of this month.
