It's Salman vs Shahrukh for the cop act in Tamil remake

Bollywood's tryst with south films' remakes still continues in 2012. Buzz is that Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, even before the release of his film EKK DEEWANA THA, is planning for a remake as his next venture.


According to reports, the director is planning to remake his Tamil blockbuster film VETTAIYAADU VILAIYAADU in Bollywood. VETTAIYAADU VILAIYAADU was a modern crime thriller starring Kamal Hassan and was critically commended for its advanced special effects.

If sources are to be believed, Gautham Menon is wishing to cast superstar Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan reprising Kamal Hassan's role in the original. Kamal Hassan plays a daredevil cop in the film and hence, the director wants the either SRK or Sallu to step into the shoes of Kamal.
