No more '... Fakt You' for JOKER

It is a known fact that 'Kaafirana', the much hyped item number featuring Chitrangada Singh, was leaked online last week. Not just that as the lyrics of the song too made many stand up and notice, what with words that went as 'I Want 'Fakt' You'.
"Fortunately for the makers it is just an audio that has been leaked. If the video would have been out too, it would have been unwelcome," informs a source.
However this was a small cause for worry when compared to the bigger battles that the team was gearing up to fight. With the song's hook-line going as 'I Want 'Fakt' You', which has been seemingly disguised as a much used and abused four letter word by singer Sunidhi Chauhan, there were early indications of detractors coming up in arms against Shirish and Co.
"Though 'Fakt' is a Marathi word and means 'just', the way it was used in the song was meant to be naughty. The makers were anyways in two minds about this and were debating around retaining the song as it is or modifying it. However they were sure about taking the decision before unveiling the song. However the song was leaked before that could happen," the source adds.
Nevertheless, a clarification has come in now as per which the song would now have different lyrics.
"It is 'just' and not 'fakt' now. Even 'fakt' wasn't offensive but there is no point spending time in clarifying something that can be easily done away with. JOKER is a film meant for entire families and parents to be uncomfortable with children asking them the meaning of 'fakt'. In any case it is a beautiful item number by Chitrangada and the better way out is to publicise the song for it's true worth rather than unnecessary controversy," says a source close to the film.
